The Browns are winless so far in 2017, halfway through the season. On Halloween the front office apparently fumbled an agreed-upon trade with Cincinnati for backup quarterback AJ McCarron. The Browns failed to notify the league office by the 4 pm deadline, even though the Bengals did. That's after the guy the Browns really wanted, New England backup Jimmy Garoppolo, went to the San Francisco 49ers.
