The are in the middle of a week of voluntary workouts inside a mini bubble 鈥 preparing for a season that may not start until Christmas or later.
In his first press conference since February, GM Koby Altman said the team is thrilled to be back together. But he admits it鈥檚 been difficult to evaluate new talent since the coronavirus pandemic impacted the college basketball season.
鈥淭his rookie class is going to be far behind because they haven鈥檛 played basketball in a long time," he said. "They don鈥檛 have workouts. They don鈥檛 have summer league. And then we don鈥檛 know what training camp is going to look like [because] it keeps getting pushed back and back. Some of these guys are not going to be play organized basketball for a long time.鈥
Altman says they鈥檙e still determining how they will meet with players 鈥 whether virtual or in person.
